2). Blog Entry: Life Lessons My wife and I were driving home from Branson two weekends ago, during a major snowstorm. Everything was fine until we hit Lincoln, NE. We usually only have 90 minutes to him from there but it took us just over 3 hours. We counted 57 cars off the road because of the weather. Traffic was extremely slow, and only going 10 MPH we were still sliding at times all over the interstate. Wedged in between several semi trucks, there was no way to get around them, but some impatient people still tried. One car that was immediately in front of us quickly swerved over to the shoulder to pass the big trucks, not being able to stand the wait any longer. Sure enough, a few miles down the road we spotted a car like theirs in the ditch. Sometimes, it just pays to slow down, play it safe, and enjoy the ride.

6). Miscellaneous: Today is National Employees Legal Awareness Day. It is also the birthday of Vicki Graesser (pastors wife in Ainsworth, NE), a distinction she shares with famous American pilot Chuck Yeager from 1923. Finally, it is the anniversary of the day that the last Peanuts comic strip appeared in a paper due to the death of Charles Shultz in 2000.
